Socks Whitmore frequently serves as a literary advisor and script editor on musicals, theatrical plays, screenplays, and other fictional works. They have experience working with organizations such as New Musicals Inc. and the Joy-Jackson Initiative, as well as individual projects. As a dramaturg they are interested in new works, especially those with themes of activism and social consciousness.

Socks has also served as a non-binary/queer advisor for creatives such as Allison Slice (Elaine’s Cooking Podcast for the Soul), Kat Walker Shea (Georgie Romero Is Done For, Franklinton), John Sparks (No More Bitchy Queen), and composing team Claire Partin and Kat Zimmerman. They specialize in topics related to queer and trans identities, mental health, and disabilities/accessibility.
